Heath Dreger
JV Assistant Coach
Girls Junior Varsity Soccer
Heath Dreger was born in Hermiston, Oregon and raised in Meridian Idaho. He spent the first 2 years of high school at Meridian High, before his family moved to Manassas, Virginia where he finished high school. Growing up, Heath was a multi-sport athlete playing basketball, baseball, football, and soccer.
For college, Mr. Dreger attended Boise State University, and received an Associate of Arts in Social Sciences, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, with his minor in English. While at Boise State, Heath interned with the Boise State University Football team working on highlight packages for the team.
After college, he spent the next 6 years working with a local non-profit that focused on helping underserved youth after school. During this time he spent 2 years working directly with teens, and 5 years developing the non-profit's sports programs. He finished his time as the Athletic Director overseeing all the organizations athletics. It was during this time that he also became a coach, working with his wife, Bre Dreger (JV Head Coach) coaching soccer through Idaho Rush. During this time, he worked as an assistant and head coach for U-12 and U-14 teams in both select, and competitive level games.
This will be Coach Dreger's second year assisting Capital High JV Soccer, and his 15th season as a soccer coach. He is excited about the future of the program, and can't wait to get to work this season!
